News Advisory: Public health and Hudson River advocates take fight to Albany, calling on GE to meet all its obligations to the river

Hudson River fishers, boaters and municipal officials will urge GE to address its outstanding
obligations to do more to clean up the Hudson River at a news conference on Thursday,
May 28, at 11:15 a.m. in LOB 130.

Sponsored by the campaign's lead groups -- Clearwater, Natural Resources Defense Council
(NRDC), Riverkeeper and Scenic Hudson -- the news conference is part of a Hudson River
Advocacy Day, which includes visits to key legislators who represent districts along the river.

GE dumped millions of pounds of toxic PCBs into the Hudson for decades, devastating fish
and other wildlife and damaging fishing and other industry along the river. The EPA cleanup is
about to end, but there's much more work to do.
