Groups seek to expand dredging by additional 136 acres, beyond scope of project

Troy Record reports: "Environmental advocates and stakeholders from the communities along the Hudson River joined Tuesday to call on General Electric to continue to remove PCBs from the Hudson River beyond their U.S. Environmental Protection agency-enforced obligation.

The leaders, speaking at a park in Green Island along the river, emphasized that there are still multiple PCB hot spots in the river that have not yet been cleaned up from Fort Edward to the Troy dam. To address this, the officials kicked off their Campaign for a Cleaner Hudson program at the event." Read more at Troy Record.
